Process Specialist

In this role, you will take the lead in evaluating how work gets done, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency, and leading initiatives that deliver a better experience for both customers and employees.

Working closely with teams across the organization, as Process Specialist you will use proven improvement methodologies to enhance quality, reduce waste, and support sustainable, high performing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Process Assessment & Analysis

  • Analyze current state processes across departments to identify waste, bottlenecks, variation, and risks

  • Conduct process mapping, value stream mapping, and workflow analysis

  • Collect and analyze data related to performance, cycle times, error rates, and costs

  • Identify root causes using structured problem-solving tools

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Lead and support improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies

  • Develop clear problem statements, project charters, and improvement plans

  • Facilitate improvement workshops, kaizen events, and cross-functional working sessions

  • Test, implement, and validate process improvements

  • Establish controls to ensure improvements are sustained

Standardization & Documentation

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation

  • Ensure processes are standardized, clearly documented, and easy to understand across the organization

Stakeholder Relations

  • Partner with department leaders, managers, and frontline employees to understand operational processes
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders and management
  • Support change management efforts to drive adoption of new processes

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and process metrics

  • Track and report performance improvements and realized benefits

  • Support the development of dashboards and visual management tools

Training & Culture

  • Provide training and coaching on Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in process improvement, operations analysis, or continuous improvement

  • Post-secondary education in business, operations management, or a related field

  • Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred and considered an asset

  • Experience or training in change management principles and practices
