We’re looking for a seasoned automotive leader to join our team as a Franchise Regional Dealership Manager. This is a high impact, multi-store leadership role for someone who thrives on driving performance, building strong General Manager partnerships, and delivering consistent operational excellence across franchised OEM dealerships.

About the Role 

As Franchise Regional Dealership Manager, you will oversee and support multiple franchised OEM retail dealerships, with full accountability for profitability, performance, operational consistency, and OEM compliance. You will work closely with General Managers to elevate execution across New Vehicle Sales, Used Vehicle Sales, Service, and Parts, while reinforcing Shift Auto Group’s standards, processes, and customer-first culture.

This role blends hands-on operational leadership with strong accountability. You will coach, support, and challenge General Managers to deliver results—while ensuring every location operates with integrity, efficiency, and genuine care for both customers and employees. 

You will also play a key role in Shift Auto Group’s growth, supporting new dealership launches and acquisition integrations, and helping build strong leadership teams across our network.

What You’ll Do

Multi-Store Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Drive consistent execution standards across Sales, Service, and Parts

  • Reinforce Shift Auto Group operating processes to improve efficiency and customer experience

  • Set clear expectations for General Managers and hold them accountable to KPIs and results

  • Identify operational gaps and lead corrective action plans with follow-through

Sales Leadership (New & Used Vehicles)

  • Monitor sales volume, market share, execution standards, and customer experience

  • Ensure consistency in lead handling, appointments, desking, trade processes, and deliveries

  • Support General Managers in maintaining strong management rhythm and accountability

Marketing & Incentive Execution

  • Partner with GMs and Marketing to execute store-level campaigns and sales events

  • Coordinate OEM and group incentive program rollouts

  • Identify execution gaps and performance trends and drive improvement

CRM, Lead Management & Customer Experience

  • Review CRM performance, appointment outcomes, and communication standards

  • Ensure consistent follow-up, documentation, and reporting accuracy

  • Address performance breakdowns through structured action plans

Fixed Operations Leadership (Service & Parts)

  • Drive consistent Fixed Ops standards aligned with OEM and Shift Auto Group expectations

  • Improve cross-department collaboration to strengthen retention and loyalty

  • Identify and resolve operational and customer experience gaps

New Store Launches & Acquisitions

  • Support greenfield dealership launches from planning through stabilization

  • Assist with operational setup, CRM implementation, and launch readiness

  • Support acquisition transitions and integration into Shift Auto Group systems and standards

Leadership Hiring & Development

  • Support recruiting and hiring of key leadership roles (GM, Sales, Service, Parts)

  • Assist with onboarding and early-stage leadership alignment

  • Monitor early performance and address gaps proactively

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain weekly scorecards, monthly reviews, and regular operational check-ins

  • Communicate results clearly and ensure accountability to improvement plans

  • This role reports to the Head of Retail Operations

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of OEM dealership operations experience (required)

  • Multi-store leadership experience (strongly preferred)

  • Proven success holding OEM leaders accountable to standards and results

  • Deep understanding of:

    • Sales operations and CRM execution

    • Fixed Operations fundamentals (Service & Parts KPIs and workflows)

    • OEM compliance and incentive programs

    • Store launches and acquisition integration

  • Proficiency with dealership systems and reporting tools (DealerSocket, Dealertrack, vAuto, Google Workspace, etc.)

  • Strong leadership presence, credibility, and communication skills
